Collars, ID and microchips
Your dog must arrive wearing a fitted collar. As soon as they come into our care, whether they're boarding with us or joining us for an adventure, we'll clip a More Good Dog Days ID tag onto their collar and they'll wear it for the whole time they're with us. It's a simple safety net: if they ever slipped away from us, whoever found them could call us straight away and we'd know exactly who to ring. All dogs must be microchipped, as this is a legal requirement. No dog will be walked off the lead unless the owner has specifically asked us to.
Vaccinations and parasite treatment
All dogs staying with us must be up to date with their vaccinations (including kennel cough) and parasite treatment, and you'll need to bring their vaccination card as proof.
Medication
If your dog is on medication from the vet, we'll carry on giving it to them.
If your dog becomes unwell
If your dog becomes ill during their stay, we'll take them to our local vet, just two minutes away, and contact you as soon as possible. We can't take dogs who have had sickness or diarrhoea in the 48 hours before their stay, or who have a current or contagious illness.
Which dogs we can take
We can only take castrated males. We can't take girls who are in season or due to come into season during their stay.
Food and treats
We feed twice a day, and we ask that you provide your dog's food for their stay. We'll give treats for good behaviour, as long as you're happy with that.
Toys and bedding
Please bring toys and bedding to help your dog settle in.
Deposits and payment
A 50% deposit is to be paid at the time of booking for day care and boarding. The final payment is due before the start of your holiday. Boarding bookings are subject to a 50% non-refundable deposit. Any extra days your dog stays, arranged after they've arrived, will be charged at our daily rate, with full payment made on collection.
